Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

GoCliniq.in ("GoCliniq", "we", "us", "our") operates a appointment booking platform that connects patients with independent clinics and doctors across India. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP Act").

This notice applies whether you are a patient booking an appointment, or a doctor/clinic using GoCliniq to manage bookings.

1. Who We Are

GoCliniq.in is a platform operated under the GoCliniq brand in India. For any privacy-related questions, you can reach us through the contact details on our website or WhatsApp number.

For most of the personal data described below, the clinic or doctor you book with is the Data Fiduciary — they determine why your data is collected and how it's used in the context of your care. GoCliniq acts as a Data Processor, processing that data only as instructed by the clinic, to operate the booking and clinic-management platform. Where GoCliniq collects data for its own purposes (such as account creation, platform analytics, or marketing), GoCliniq acts as the Data Fiduciary for that specific data.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data, itemised as required under the DPDP Rules:

From patients:

From doctors and clinics:

Automatically collected:

We do not collect more personal data than is necessary for the purpose stated, and we do not use health data for advertising or behavioural targeting.

4. Sensitive Health Information

Some information you or your clinic share on GoCliniq — including procedures, diagnoses, or medicines listed on an appointment or invoice — qualifies as sensitive personal data relating to health. We apply heightened safeguards to this category of data, including:

5. Your Consent

We collect and process your personal data only on the basis of your free, specific, informed, and unconditional consent, given through clear affirmative action (for example, confirming a booking on WhatsApp, or checking a consent box during registration).

You may withdraw your consent at any time, with the same ease with which it was given, by reaching out through our listed contact channels. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal, but may mean we (or your clinic) are no longer able to provide certain services to you, such as accessing your past visit history.

6. Sharing of Your Data

We share personal data only as necessary to operate the platform:

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not share health-related data with advertisers.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law (including medical record-keeping requirements that may apply to your clinic). When data is no longer needed, we will erase it, unless retention is required by law.

Where applicable, you will be notified at least 48 hours before scheduled erasure of your data, so you have the opportunity to request continued retention if needed.

8. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the channels listed on this page. We will respond within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Rules, and grievances will be resolved within 90 days.

9. Children's Data

GoCliniq is built for use by adults booking appointments for themselves or on behalf of family members, including children. Where a clinic processes a child's health data as part of care delivery, applicable healthcare-specific exemptions under the DPDP Rules may apply. We do not knowingly use children's data for tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising of any kind.

10. Security Safeguards

We implement reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption, access controls scoped to each clinic, and regular review of our systems. In the unlikely event of a personal data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected individuals and the Data Protection Board of India as required under law.

11. Grievance Redressal

For any questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please reach out through the contact details published on our website or WhatsApp channel. We aim to acknowledge and address all privacy-related requests promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting an updated version on this page, and continued use of GoCliniq after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
